Overview of E-Commerce Processing Modules

With your Miva Merchant enabled web hosting plan, you have various options for adding E-Commerce to your site/store.

Payment Modules
To use the built in Payment Modules with your store, which are accessible from the Administration Menu, simply expand the ‘Payment Modules’ section of the menu, then click the ‘Add Payment Module’ link.

After you’ve selected a payment module to install a form appears for you to use for configuring that module. Each payment module has it’s own set of configuration options, so for each different one that you choose to install there will be a different configuration screen to edit. Only the ‘Check Payment’ module has no configuration screen.

Keep in mind that all of the payment modules that use 3rd party commerce processing services (all except ‘Check Payment’ and ‘Credit Card Payment with Simple Validation’) modules need more set up with the particular service vender than what is required in Miva Merchant’s configuration screen for the particular module. For your convenience hyperlinked URLs to the web sites of each vender respectively are provided in each different configuration screen.

Check Payment
Needs no configuration. Adds field to the order form that prompts the user for a check number.

Credit Card Payment with Simple Validation
By default this module comes pre-loaded with American Express, Mastercard. and Visa as accepted payment methods. Similar to the other ‘Add/Update’ forms in the Miva Merchant administrative interface, the three default payment methods are displayed in an edit-able table over an ‘Add...’ field. The ‘Update’ button can be used to submit edit, add, or delete information in the accepted credit cards list.
